The final round of community grants for 2019 were served up by Port Colborne last week, including money to help renovate Arabella's Tea Room.

Each year the city sets aside money and asks local community groups or projects to submit applications for the cash. For 2019, the city had about $30,000 to hand out, half of which was dished out earlier this year.

The final set of grants were approved by council on Aug. 12 and the money was divided among six local groups.

Community Living Port Colborne received $1,700 to provide financial assistance to children who are unable to register for recreation programs due to lack of funds.
